The dietary needs of the Southern Flying Squirrel are pretty simple. The idea is to keep it varied.

The minimum requirements are:

A Parrot or Macaw bird seed mix with lots of large seeds

Pumpkin seeds

Stripped sunflower seeds

Fresh fruit

Fresh or dehydrated veggies

Fresh water with a liquid vitamin suppliment such as L&M Farms for small animals at the dosage recommended for mice

Calcium block, Mineral block, salt spool and cuttlebone

Extra goodies not required, but loved by flyers in the wild:

Wax or meal worms
Crickets
Flower blossoms
Fresh twigs and branches

Caution!!!
Only offer the above items that
HAVE NOT
been sprayed with pesticides or fertilizers!!!
